@TomcatJunkie If this with warthogs can somehow bring about athe smallest possible chance of a resurgence of the Skyraider into a modern low impact loiter profile that is not just that jumped up crop duster I may actually have a heart attack from the pure excitement.

Okay this is cool… but can someone smarter than me explain why (other than current deployment and production numbers) the Skyraider II couldn’t be doing the same job, for less money, and less of a footprint on the ground?

@TruthHurtsTKV and @kwasny007, thank you both for your shout outs. It's greatly appreciated. To all those that took up folloing me from here, I hope you find plenty of reason to stick around. I promise to try and catch up over the next day or so, but the rate limit is a hard cut. But I'll get there!

Sometimes I get all bent out of shape about politics but then I see my kid running and laughing and realize how little it really means in the grand scheme of things. But then I start thinking about what kind of country he will inherit and then I get all bent out of shape about politics again 😂

For those of you not familiar.
The A-10 Warthog is the ugliest, most absurdly beautiful killing machine to ever take flight. A flying chunk of titanium molded around a gatlin gun style cannon; the equally absurd 30mm GAU-8.
It commands the adoration of troops on the ground as the sound of its unmistakable mating call the “brrrrrrp” overhead means several enemy fighters have been neutralized.
It flies low and slow delivering death more intimately than any other fighter jet could fathom.
Cloaked in armor, it’s rumored to be able to take damage to 70% of its airframe and still land with ease. It doesn’t need a long or even paved runway.
The uppity nerds running the Air Force have decided to “phase them out” this year… yet here they are continuing to “get some”.
I personally think that @USMC should take the them over… they fit perfectly in our “take old shit and make it great” culture.

@HLC_actual @ItsTheEnforcer Fully agree. Frankly I'd be glad to have the people of Europe get more nationalism into their veins. They've got plenty of their own history to be proud of. I will just always maintain my belief in the US system first lol
