The Pokopia dilemma is a great case study. On one hand, you have Nintendo: ‣ Game-Key Carding a 6.2 GB game ‣ Artificial scarcity of physical editions in stores ‣ Raising the price from $70 to $80 (Amazon) after selling out across North America But on the other hand: ‣ This game is genuinely impressive. ‣ Combines Minecraft, Animal Crossing, Pokémon, and Resource Management mechanics into a unique experience ‣ Offers an interesting story set in Pokémon that surpasses most of the Game Freak game stories. ‣ Has a Game Share multiplayer function that allows for couch co-op (missing key features, but overall works) This is the first time in a while where we can explicitly say the game is great and the developers kicked ass (NOT GAME FREAK). But Nintendo being greedy-ass bastards cheapens this whole experience. The number of unit and console sales here are not going to get Nintendo to be less greedy. Pokopia's success is a precursor to Legend of Zelda getting Game-Key Carded too.

@GamingMittens @TRIPSTER0 For multiplayer-only games, yes, unless the community rallies behind it, and starts their own dedicated servers which happens a majority of the time but not exclusive to PC. Pretendo is it's own Nintendo Online that restores online functionality to Wii, Wii U and 3DS.

BUT... you're just fine with your Steam Digital Library so shouldn't get mad about Key-Cards" Yes I'm fine with it because Steam let's me download my games on any SD card and can be played on any PC configuration in the world, and that's forever. There's a big difference between how Steam Handles your Digital Library and now Nintendo handles it. Obviously Steam wins, it gives you more freedom than Nintendo ever would.

Am I crazy for feeling like emulating a game just doesn’t carry the same vibe as playing it on actual hardware? I’ve played and beaten multiple games on emulator both phone and PC, and it works, but it doesn’t feel the same for whatever reason

Then why not bring back the isometric style with turn based tactics? Wasteland 3 is a great example of what Fallout could do with that genre. While we're at it, an Age of Empires style RTS with different Fallout factions to choose from. Could easily make a horror game too.

I wish every Fallout fan could get what they want. We need a classic Bethesda style RPG, doesn't need 700 hours of gameplay just a solid storyline with options to make it replayable like NV and 3. We also should keep the Fallout 4/76 style games with rebuilding the wasteland.

@iKharrma @Wasteland_Memes New Vegas also had protection from the bombs, and it was the only place in lore to have done so, so in my opinion it makes sense for it the be most fleshed out and flourishing location, but I totally understand the criticism on Diamond City.
