The broader "lost microbes" problem is real — modern diets and antibiotics have permanently altered our microbiome in ways fibre alone can't reverse (Sonnenburg Lab, Stanford). That's worth paying attention to. But the leap from "interesting mechanism identified in tissue samples" to "reversing chronic conditions" is exactly how good science gets turned into supplement marketing. The mechanism deserves more research. The claims need more evidence.
