@Feargal_Sharkey I thought the water companies were allowed to raise their prices by 40% over five years, last year, and they all front loaded them effectively meaning that they couldn’t raise them any more for the next 4 years? Perhaps I dreamt it!

"South East Water fined £22m for repeated supply failures." Let's be clear about this, as has been proven time and time again, fining these companies is nothing but a charade. These fines rarely if ever get paid, shareholders rarely if ever take money out of their pockets to pay them and invariably WCs negotiate some sort of deal so that ultimately it doesn't cost them a penny. Totally overlooked the Discovery Sport when looking for a new car to transport our new granddaughter. Drove it yesterday, it’s 2.0 diesel so refined and technology up there with the Defender. Reliable? Let’s see, we aim to have it for about 4 years. So far really impressed.

@vix1305 I expect you weren’t going too fast and you are going to get a lot of cyclists (especially in Oxford) where they don’t abide by the rules of the road. Some people have the ‘it’ll never happen to me’ attitude. Hope the Bus Co gives you counselling for your trauma.

Today a low light of my driving career. Cyclist didn’t look, came off the pavement straight out a side road, on coming traffic and a standing load.- I had no options. He didn’t die, but I was a wreck! Taken off, calmed down, exonerated and now a break before trying again!

@MartinSLewis Worked in retail banking. Don’t name your children after you. One customer’s grown up son ran up debts which lead to defaults and ccj’s. Customer could not differentiate himself from his son so could not get credit.

Yesterday was not a good day. Called a stupid fucking bitch by a passenger who then had to left the bus; then a coach driver forgot the rules of the roundabout an I had to take avoiding action which involved damage to my bus. Then he refused to exchange details!
