The effects of the attempted suicide made my anxiety the worst it’s been in years, to the point of having panic attacks. Work were supportive, then my boss made me have two days off. I was furious at the time, but he may have been right, much as it pains me to admit this! 🤦‍♀️

Today was a testing day at the coal face. A man attempted to kill himself by throwing himself in front of my bus. I didn’t kill him, or even hit him. He looked straight at me before he jumped - it was definitely deliberate.

@BusDriverEm I’ve yet to drive one in the new livery. Our EV’s are Green due to county council requirements; and our remaining diesels are a mix of beachball, the mainly white and the one in between those. Oh we’ve got a few gold still as well. I mainly drive the EV’s.

Finally got my hands on our first one in blue. 27838 joined me tonight for a Yapton 700

Haven Green Bus Stand, Ealing. "Clean air for London" it says on the side of this @tfl route E8. Doors open, no driver and engine on. I am actually type trained on this particular model of bus. So I could have hopped in the driver's cab and driven off. Tickets please? 😂

Just a quick message to wish everyone a Happy New Year and I hope 2026 brings all that you want. I spent NY out in the wilds of Scotland with my sister and her family. They fly home tomorrow and we have a long drive back and the reality bites on Monday!

@swearysnork I’ve always worked in publice facing roles. Hospitality - work Christmas & New Year. Police - work Christmas & New Year. Bus drivers - we all get Christmas Day off. Over 30 years working & it’s only the last 6 that I’ve not had to fight to get Christmas Day off if I wanted it.

Turns out the van driver who cut me up a year ago is now saying it’s my fault 🤦‍♀️ so I now have to give a statement to the company legal people. I remember this one quite well, including his admission that he left me with nowhere to go!

My grandmother married an American so I have family there. I’ve been twice, I’d like to go again, but it’s not feeling very welcoming right now.

I’ve said it before, we have a work FB thing, the company use it for serious stuff & info, we can use it for whatever, as long as we play nice. The ‘administrators’ (any manager) can delete stuff, and you can be banned. I’ve just had such an innocuous comment deleted I give up 🤦‍♀️
