@sickdotdev Unlike the answer 42, it's all about knowing the right questions to ask.

@sattyyouneed Yep, an AI needs direction, otherwise its mediocre trash. At least for now.

@theinformalist @merissahansen17 Tell that to Tim Waltz getting his life ruined by a kid with a camera and an X account.
English

@theinformalist @merissahansen17 Both used by gov for national security. Ask yourself, what's the worst they could dig up on you, your pornhub subscription?
English

@Rocket_DM @merissahansen17 Verizon's data collection and the PRISM program were based on civilian surveillance, not criminal investigations. At this point, it's obvious you've abandoned reason.
English

@theinformalist @merissahansen17 None of those people are in gov though

@theinformalist @merissahansen17 Thanks to X, transparency is at it's peak.
It will only get better with AI.
English

@Rocket_DM @merissahansen17 Criminals will always find somewhere to hide—especially when they're the ones running the system.
That kind of propaganda doesn't work on me. As I said, don't bother replying There's nothing you can say that will change the facts, and nothing new will come from your mindset.🔚
English

@theinformalist @merissahansen17 Nah, they don't care about us, not important enough, not even in the top 100 million.
Media already shapes and influences millions of people.
English

@Rocket_DM @merissahansen17 Oh, but of course they do care about me... and about you.
They want to know who we're talking to...
who we're buying from...
where we are, so they can tax us...
to control what we say, shape our opinions, and influence our decisions.
Your blindness isn't innocence—it's complicity
English

@theinformalist @merissahansen17 Not one-by-one, that would be impossible. On a criminal case specific basis.
In an future of AI surveillance, I doubt there will be much corruption in gov either.
English

@Rocket_DM @merissahansen17 You just refuted yourself by admitting they have the ability to analyze everyone's data, one by one, based on specific search patterns... and you claim it's only to "investigate criminals" (the irony being that criminals are often found within the government itself)...
English

@kylegawley That's easy - vibe code something you've always wanted to build, but never had the time.

Real talk. I don’t enjoy building software anymore.
There is no challenge, no craft and no sense of achievement at the end of the day.
In 2016 I ended up in hospital stressed out because I was running a VC funded company and I had become a manager, not a maker.
I found indie hacking and it was perfect for me because I was building stuff every day and making tonnes of money doing what I love.
Now I feel like I am back to that point in 2016 not doing any of the fun stuff and managing tickets for agents.
I have been working solo for 6 years too which is the dream for many people but it’s actually quite boring and isolating now.
I’m also a bit tired of the industry as a whole the last few years if I’m honest.
I still love the business side of it, and making content because it’s challenging and hard work.
Not sure what to do, maybe some ventures that are not related to software would give me a new creative outlet.

@rand_longevity Everyone who survives the next decade will live hundreds of years.
English

@1512485fkgf @Polymarket I didn't say they weren't corrupt also, there's a reason why they banned X.
English

@theinformalist @merissahansen17 That's an easy one: if a criminal needs finding, they can find them instantly.
Fact is, nobody cares about you and won't bother with the data - unless you commit a crime.
I'd much prefer violent offenders have nowhere to hide, don't you?
English

@Rocket_DM @merissahansen17 Maybe you're the one who should ask: "If they can't analyze millions of records, why collect them in the first place?" They gathered that data without users' knowledge or consent. You're a slave because you keep surrendering your freedom, trusting governments' good intentions.

@Fish_Flakes546 @astro_greek He agrees with its teachings, but will only believe what he sees.

@astro_greek So he sold his soul to Christian nationalism, who woulda thought 🤷♂️

When Elon Musk was a kid, his mom took him to Sunday school at the local Anglican church. It didn’t go well.
While the teacher told Bible stories, young Elon kept interrupting with sharp questions:
“How exactly did the waters part?”
“How can you make loaves and fishes appear out of nothing?”
During communion he looked at the bread and wine and asked, “Is this some kind of cannibalism metaphor?”
His mom eventually gave up and let him stay home reading on Sunday mornings.
As a teenager, the big questions hit him hard: Where did the universe come from? Why does anything exist? Neither religion nor science gave him satisfying answers. He spiraled into an existential crisis, even fearing that life might have no meaning.
He tried to solve it by reading Nietzsche, Heidegger, and Schopenhauer. Big mistake. “I do not recommend reading Nietzsche as a teenager,” he later said.
Luckily, science fiction saved him. He devoured every sci-fi book he could find and kept pushing librarians to order more.
