"I was stupid. I was not thinking when I made that video." - Mike van Wyk, responding to a video he made with a stack of money. The Medicare24 CEO claims Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala gave him the money after asking him to get Julius Mkhwanazi to contact him. Tune in to #eNCA, channel #DStv403.

@misumuzi_4 I understood him clearly, and I believe the #madlangacommission also heard his side of the story without difficulty. Like with all the witnesses, they sought clarity where it was called for. We need more people like him. He was a better witness than Paul O'Sullivan

@KhuselaS Good luck as you dig the grave of the once popular @MYANC. The language of renewal is just a farce. Some politicians are so brave in showing contempt and hatred for the people of South Africa

Governance by populism? Trial by social media? It’s an option I suppose. Let me tell you I (again personally) disagree with the notion that he overstepped his powers. To me, it would be an absurdity in law if Ministers are not able to direct the actions of the Departments they are entrusted oversight in line with policy. My view is that rationality in relation to his actions (as opposed to legality) should be the test. What was his motive? Did he follow due process? Is it a pointer to criminality? And if he is guilty as charged on these accounts then I agree. Do not read this to mean I agree or disagree I am merely postulating ndiyanazi nina some of us on these streets - mischievous kabi. Goodnight

@Mpumiln I want to know the name of the machine used and how much it goes for to rent. Back home, tombstones are unveiled on the day of funeral, so the demand is always there. If I can buy ten of these machines and rent them out every weekend, that’s real money.💵💵 🤣🤣

When an Aboriginal Australian girl graduated college in 2016, her grandfather, an Aboriginal elder who lives on a remote island, traveled almost 2,000 miles to attend the ceremony and dance with her. In 2016, a young Aboriginal Australian woman graduated from college, an achievement that marked not just personal success, but the power of perseverance, family, and cultural pride. To honor the moment, her grandfather, an Aboriginal elder, journeyed nearly 2,000 miles from a remote island to attend her ceremony. Dressed in traditional body paint and ceremonial adornments, he danced beside her, symbolizing the union of ancient tradition and modern achievement. The photo captures a profound moment where two worlds meet: the deeply rooted spirituality and heritage of Indigenous Australia, and the rising presence of Aboriginal voices in academia and society. His long journey wasn't just physical, it was generational, representing centuries of survival, resilience, and hope. Australia’s Aboriginal peoples are the world’s oldest continuous cultures, with traditions, stories, and ceremonies that have been passed down for over 65,000 years. © Reddit #archaeohistories

@matinyarare This is a very poor understanding of social media. Speed's trip presents as a good chance for Zimbabwe to put forward its best foot forward and market itself to the world. Anyone who is against Speed's trip does not have Zimbabwe's best interests at heart.

𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗘𝗗 𝗡𝗢 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗪𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗠𝗔𝗬𝗔 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗜𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗔. I've watched the hype around Speed, and I'm failing to understand it because, when it comes to quality content promoting African tourism, personalities, sites, and destinations, he's no match for Wodemaya. Wodemaya's content dignifies Africa, informs Africans about their continent, and appears in search results, helping people make travel or business decisions. His videos teach Africans and non-Africans about destinations, history, and context, giving meaning to Africa and the African experience. When Wodemaya visited Zimbabwe in 2022, the country was awarded a travel award by Germany after a 50% increase in travelers. As for Speed, I'm struggling to understand what he's achieved through his content. What have people learned about African countries since he started streaming, besides the fact that he can do backflips? Maybe Speed's audience is younger people, but shouldn't young black people be informed? Are they just watching someone do head flips and run against animals? What are they learning? What message is being conveyed? Outcomes matter. Africans can't just create content that doesn't address African problems. Here Wodemaya is in Southern Africa’s only stone city in the only Empire ever established in Southern Africa (Great Zimbabwe), in Zimbabwe in 2022. Let’s learn to celebrate our own Africa. Enough of this meaningless American bubblegum entertainment that never has no meaning and does not advance us.
