The employee told her he wasn’t a carpenter and that he could only show her where the wood was located. She felt frustrated because she already had everything and was just hoping for a little guidance. Customer service can be tricky in situations like this. Employees may not be trained builders, but sometimes even a little advice or pointing someone to helpful resources could make the experience much better. Do customers expect too much when they ask store employees for step-by-step help with projects, or should employees be more willing to guide them?
