I can never fill her shoes… I was speaking to my aging mom in Pakistan who nonchalantly mentions that she had to go cook food for 13 people. Me: But it’s just 3 of you at home. Why 13? Mom: I cook every day for 2 other families who are poor and can’t afford all their meals.
