No other success in the Senate can compensate for the failure to pass the SAVE America Act
America@america
The Senate must do the will of the voters. Pass the SAVE America Act.

@hakeemjeffries I don’t think so, TEMU Obama… Texas Republicans will be just fine.
English

@JackPosobiec @KarlRove Bush type Republicans are an abomination. Arrogant and born to lose.
English

@alexstein99 You’re basically an idiot and completely off target. Also, these “brown” people you speak of know their own minds and don’t need YOU to tell them how to vote. Arrogant racist elitist…
English

Texas is quickly becoming purple so I don't trust this at all....we need Paxton to win but every brown person in Texas is gonna vote for Talarico so we haven't won anything yet

We now turn our attention to Thune Goon Langford.

JAMES LANKFORD of OKLAHOMA NEED to be Primaried out June 16, 2026.

Let me be clear. There is no world in which I will ever vote for Ken Paxton.
#Texas Republicans STAY HOME. WE CANNOT ALLOW THIS MAN TO REPRESENT OUR PARTY.
English

@SpeakTruthAndRH Worked to Thune to subvert conservative initiatives.. and block MAGA appointments and agenda on the Senate. Not really difficult to understand. And by the way, Texans have the right to vote for who we choose. Don’t need you to tell us who that should be.

Trump betrayed a decent, honorable man who had a 99.2 percent record of supporting him in the U.S. Senate. He destroyed the career of U.S. Senator Cornyn to elevate a dishonest, impeached and corrupt crook named Ken Paxton. (Google him. This guy is terrible.) When the President of the United States happily backs a bad man and throws a good man overboard, it sends a horrible message to the next generation. This president continues to do moral and ethical damage to the nation that will be hard to undo. Not surprised. But still disappointed in where GOP voters are.

English

@ChristopherHale Well, that will lead to a lot of their buddies getting primaried.

Smart move by Talarico. He’s still an underdog (it’s Texas after all) but as of now, Paxton is so flawed that the Democrat has a fighting chance to win. I make this argument on Biblical grounds.
James Talarico@jamestalarico
I want to thank Senator John Cornyn for his years representing our state. We don’t agree on everything, but we both still believe in public service. To Senator Cornyn’s supporters: you have a place in our campaign.

Texas Republicans have long been among my favorite people. (I knew a lot of Bushies, back when.) (And Phil Gramm was just about my favorite politician.)
Today, in their Senate primary, Texas Republicans have chosen a picture of degeneracy over a Trump-supporting incumbent who is, at bottom, responsible and decent.
It’s like Republicans looked at Cornyn and said, “Nope. Not corrupt, crazy, or immoral enough.”
In a democracy, we say who we are, with our votes. We show what we value. To some of us, recent years have been both illuminating and heartbreaking. I have had frequent occasion to use an old expression: “sadder but wiser.”
I have not spoken like a populist. I’m not running for office. I don’t believe in “Vox populi, vox Dei.” In fact, I think that’s one of the most erroneous and disgusting notions ever conceived. I’m a writer, for better or worse. I have said what I think, even as I hope for a brighter morrow.
