His statements were clear, that this was a test to see how much NATO helps, and quite frankly the UK is useless. It has a military base in Cyprus and didn't even defend them when Iran launched missiles at Cyprus. Greece and France did. So you must understand the internal workings of the EU aren't perfect either, but we're happy with what we get, and figure out the rest ourselves

She told the EU to just talk to him. That's how the EU creates issues, they react without dialogue

Thats standard white house talk of using force is never off the table. It means nothing because Vance, and trump clearly explained that these threats are designed to motivate the EU to spend the resources to defend it. If they dont they will take over. As a European the Ukraine war proved to me the EU needs to be motivated to build up it's defense. So this helps me

I live in Greece, and he is the most courteous and helpful president ever for us when it comes to our foreign affairs issues, and I thank him for strengthening the EU and making them independant so they can finally do something. He has only shitted on a handful of the 20 or so countries in Europe, not all of us

Who did they abandon? I live in the EU and I can't say I feel abandoned by Trump. In fact he has been good to my country and has helped the EU reliablybdefend ukraine. I thank him for whatever he gives us. He's not obligated to do anything for us. Those that hate him want to take advantage of the USA and that's their prerogative.

Thats what Western world should be doing - sharing the burden of fighting against dictators.

@SyndesiIntl Because the EU (in its current form) didn't exist 50 years ago and the UN has a peace keeping force there since the 60s. Obviously, a diplomatic reunification is preferred and we are slowly moving in the right direction.
