I was born and raised in a communist country. Back then, the local newspapers were spewing the same propaganda today’s MSM from Canada is putting out. For me it was pretty easy to figure it out. Especially when Trudeau announced in 2016 he bought out the media. Back in 1989 just before the Romanian revolution, everyone in the country knew that the MSM was lying and telling propaganda. Today, many Canadians still believe the MSM. Or they want to believe they tell the truth. Any way you slice it, it’s like Trudeau said, money well spent. 🐣🇨🇦 Today is Easter Monday. For Christians, this is the day after the resurrection — the moment everything changed. I grew up Christian. I pray to Jesus. I believe in God. Today means something to me. It also means something to millions of Canadians who just watched the House of Commons vote to remove the good faith religious speech defence from Canada's Criminal Code.

This isn't about religion being in politics. It's about the government being in religion. The Criminal Code had a defence that protected anyone expressing a sincerely held belief in good faith. Not forcing it on anyone — just expressing it without fear of prosecution. That protection existed since 1970. Bill C-9 removes it. The Canadian Civil Liberties Association opposed this bill. Not because they're religious — because it's a free expression issue. You don't have to be a person of faith to see why the government deciding which beliefs are acceptable to say out loud is a problem.

Let's stay on the record. The Bloc voted with the Liberals to remove the religious speech defence. That's true and it's documented — 186-137. But the NDP voted against it. So did Elizabeth May. This wasn't "the Bloc screwing Canadians." This was a deal between two parties that stripped a protection every major faith community in the country asked them to keep. Blame the vote, not the province. The receipts are specific enough that we don't need to generalize. 🍁
