Carers need 80mins/day to provide food for someone with high dependency & 105mins for drinks. That's 2/3 of commissioned care hours just on E+D. Forget other ADLs! This is why we have a problem with #malnutrition and #dehydration in #olderpeople's #care. More #TimetoCare needed

Interventions maintaining eating Independence in #nursinghome residents with #dementia a multicentre qualitative study. Mealtime care and maintaining #nutrition is complex as dementia advances but maintaining the persons mealtime independence for as long as possible is key
