Just caught up the India/China Twitter spat where Indian twitter calling China also has a caste system (it does not). The weird psychological / logic question one has to ask is - why this group of Indians think it’s an insult to claim China was like them?

@idk497645 I agree it is somewhat arbritrary. The internal lines in which Hindus are divided on are jati endogamy and an ancestry gradient from the north-west to the south-east. However I do think we've been grouped together long enough to the point where it shouldn't matter (ideally)
