This was a 6 month project in the making - we had to go through a lot of hoops because asking a foundation to send money directly to a multisig address still isn't all that common in Web3. (Not yet, anyway - we have set a precedent this week and hopefully first of many to come.) First, there was the basic issue of "who do we talk to" in a decentralized community. We had to hold a vote to assign me as an "official representative" of TEIA - I think all multisig members probably can do this now that we have a better idea how the legal framework works - but it was a good excuse for us to ask around, either way. I then used that newfound "status" as a way to "formally" apply to the Tezos Foundation under my KYC'd name - the initial idea was to see if there was interest at all in the foundation supporting TEIA - previously it was difficult because of the lack of a legal framework, but maybe, just maybe TEIA's non-profit status plus multisig records were enough for them to sign off? We had to see. The main purpose of this was to establish a formal connection between @TeiaCommunity and the @TezosFoundation to help with some of the communications issues we've often had between DeFi and the arts communities. I understand there's still a lot of grievances over past events but we wanted to give diplomacy a chance here - and this is the first step towards getting there. We will be working very closely with @aljaparis and @vinciane_j from @trilitech and @artontezos_ over the next year to collaborate and help boost each other's work. Very excited to get started - we've been talking about this for years now and it's finally become a reality. 😁 @malsheep56 is currently working on an application form to our newly founded grants program, which will give more details on how the funding works and how to get started. Bioregional Financing Facilities (BFFs) combine grant pools, venture studios, low-interest loans, and local currencies into modular capital networks designed around watersheds and ecosystems. Some start as a DAO. Others are hosted by a land trust. Many are already creating real impact: → @regen_network is tokenizing ecological state changes across multiple bioregions. → @BioFiProject supported 22 teams in designing BFFs from the Amazon to Appalachia. When capital aligns with ecology, coordination becomes local, legible, and lived. More relational, less extractive. Rooted in place to help regenerate it. Another compelling way to fund what matters 💚

It's nearly ready. Honestly. Our initial v3 @yAuditDAO review is now complete. The fixes brought us uncomfortably close to the Ethereum contract size limit, so we chose to split some contracts to leave headroom for any future patches. We felt these changes were significant enough to re-engage yAudit for a final review. We’re moving as fast as we can, and are now in the final stretch before migration and launch. Over a decade ago…time really flies. The original design I did for @RobertsSpaceInd was meant to be an Arc Welder but I think nowadays it’s the called the Multitool. Remember doing this in Maya. These days I do everything in CAD. Pretty interesting to reflect on old work.
