@chacon@NellaNixon54232@gitbutler Oof yeah I’m in the middle of doing something similar so we can migrate over from Jira properly. It’s super frustrating.
@NellaNixon54232@davidpick@gitbutler I'm thinking of writing a script to hack it by just creating new issues in GitHub based on existing GitHub/Linear issues, linking to and closing the old ones. It's ridiculous, but I think it would technically work.
Is there anything surviving that makes GitHub Issues a little more Linear-like usable? We switched @gitbutler to Linear because it's great, but now that we NOT-open-sourced it (FSL), we want to do more in public. Any advice? Hubord, Waffle, etc are all dead.
@davidpick@gitbutler Almost works, but appears to only be for completely greenfield projects. There is no way to not bifurcate your issues in both systems into "pre-sync" (and forever invisible to the other system) or "post-sync" and works great. It's incredibly frustrating.
@mikelikesbikes Yeah you do, but I think the programming / AI features are worth the subscription. They do some crazy things like dynamically edit the programming videos to match your pace.
I still want to talk to some additional Elixir CTO/VP of Eng type of people. I've had or scheduled the first five conversations and with five more I should have a solid sense of whether this idea is something to move forward with.
Hope y'all can help me get there.

@stevenharman I haven’t stayed there but I’ve heard the Hotel Zachary is nice. It’s a block from the Addison redline which is just a few stops South of The Aragon.
Who is hiring out there? I'm a very experienced Software Engineer and SRE looking for a Staff, Lead, or Manager level position. Took a very long break from tech and looking to join a new company. Not entertaining offers from any of the FAANG folks either.

So if I e-mail you and you see any bold text, that means I consciously converted to rich text just to bold something for you.
I do this at most 3 times a year. That makes my bold text a collector's item. It's yours to frame and encase in argon.
