Some great first insights
Flapn@flapn_sol

Almost 24hrs have passed since flapn.fun went public! 🧍 70 players in the ranking. 🕴️ +300 eyeing the game! The most common feedback is that the game is FUN and very accessible, which is some great news, as it's by design 😇

@Anonnimo2022M @agundez__ @PaGaMe78322455 El capital en España no existe. Principalmente porque el marco jurídico lo ahuyenta por temas como los okupas. El problema del país son los políticos y la generación langosta

As an indie dev making a living off of my own projects, I can tell you that you're terribly wrong. The main reason why people say it's extremely hard is because most people spend countless years to develop a single game, then it is a commercial fail, then they stop trying. Aim your kid to keep creating freely. Give him wings. He is obviously so passionate about this, and he is so young. He will make it work one way or another, like all other indie devs do. Besides, the "job market" for the games industry completely sucks. There IS good companies to work for, but they are usually small companies which are run with the same passion your son has, and thus carry huge job instability. So why not let him create his own and transmit him trust and confidence, whilst remaining in reality.

@FentonDesigns I think the challenge is that it's extremely hard to make a living as an indie developer.

Last month, I shared a bit here about how my 17-year-old son has a passion for video game development and has spent hundreds of hours over the last 9 months creating his first game for release. Well, I want to let you know that Nitro Turtles is now out! It's a party racing game (kind of like Mario Kart) and has 9 courses, a speedrun mode with online leaderboards, and split screen/online multiplayer. My husband and I played all 9 courses against each other last night and IT WAS SO FUN! I'm so proud of him for the accomplishment. He has a really demanding junior year schedule of AP/Dual Credit/Honors classes, has straight As, and somehow managed to develop this all on his own out of pure passion. He started teaching himself programming in 3rd grade and just developed his skills from there. Nitro Turtles in the culmination of all the subsequent years of self-driven learning. If you or your kids play computer games, I would love for you to check the game out on Steam! store.steampowered.com/app/3952070/Ni…

Web3 should be paying attention to Cash App’s play to earn game. This is literally play to earn CASH 💸 And it exposes a few uncomfortable truths about our industry: - The direction is right. People clearly want games where they can earn. - We have a distribution problem. Cash App has 60M users. Most Web3 games have none. - We have a marketing problem. The idea is good, but we’ve struggled to reach the mainstream. Their model is also different. Cash App already makes money from its digital banking services, and they already have a massive user base. That allows them to redirect part of their marketing budget into a game instead of something like a Super Bowl ad. So in a way, the rewards are simply a different form of marketing spend. New games don’t have that advantage. They first have to build a user base, generate revenue, and then distribute rewards. That’s a much harder path. I also think Web3 has failed to push the boundaries. How is it that no Web3 game has meaningfully partnered with a CEX, DEX, prediction market, or perpetual exchange? I’ve been saying this for a long time: DeFi platforms are the best distribution layer for games. Protocols like Uniswap already have: - millions of users - constant on chain activity - strong fee generating business models That means they can easily fund prize pools or reward systems, the same way Cash App can fund rewards from its banking fees. Instead of relying purely on token emissions, games could plug into existing financial platforms with real revenue and real users. The opportunity has been there for years. Web3 just hasn’t pushed the boundaries enough. Let's stop stealing the VC money and get to work!

We built PudgyWorld from scratch. No traditional game engine. No downloads. Just open your browser and you're in. Here's what it took to get here: We created custom world-building tools using open-source web technology, giving us a lightweight editor built for speed and rapid iteration. Our asset pipeline lets artists work in Maya, Cinema4D, or Blender while custom Houdini scripts automatically convert everything into a web-optimized format. Creative freedom without compromise. We engineered physics specifically for the browser. Snappy movement, parkour, fluid navigation, and high frame rates even on lower-end devices. Our intelligent camera system follows the player automatically, making the experience intuitive for everyone, including people who have never picked up a game before. It detects collisions, prevents clipping, and shifts focus during key moments. We developed the "Pudgy" aesthetic using pre-computed shadows and custom outlines to nail the iconic look while keeping GPU draw calls low. No real-time lighting overhead. Just a premium, polished feel. Every visual detail, from interactive snow to flowing water, runs on custom shaders and dynamic particles built to load instantly on the web. Multiplayer is live. Hundreds of players can share the same space in real time, express themselves through emotes, and yes, throw snowballs at each other. And it all scales. Whether you're on a Mac Studio or an old laptop, the experience stays fluid and inclusive. This is what it takes to build a world that anyone can walk into. No barriers. No installs. Just play. Excited for you guys to try it out.

@torrenegra To be honest, at that point, it's better to just become an entrepreneur than work 10 jobs for the salary of 1. If your jobs is 10 jobs, you may as well reap the rewards for grinding it out.

Software developers who will lose their jobs to AI very, very soon: * The ones who prefer being told what functionalities to implement * The ones who think that "business logic" is something for others to decide * The ones who get offended when the requirements change * The ones who rely on others to do their QA

@carlosadams L take. Una oficina virtual 3D en donde gestionas a tus agentes de manera visual es una opción increíble para "la gente normal" que podría acelerar la adopción muy fácilmente. Parece muy intuitivo.

@levelsio @0x0elliot @X damn, it other words, top X profiles like yours are making only about $10k a month i think those are rookie numbers, they gotta bring em up, top profiles should be making hundreds of thousands per month otherwise it probably means the revenue share you get is really low

💸 @X paid me a reasonable $12,000 to tweet this month $10,511 ad rev share $1,247 subs revenue (= $11,758 per 28 days) = $12,807/month Median X revenue now since X started paying me is @ $9,000/mo If my X account was a business and valued at just these payouts, it would be worth at 10x @ $1,080,000, or at 20x @ $2,160,000 Although I think a bit more if you value the reach

@levelsio@levelsio

💸 This month my @X payouts reached a new record just a 5 cents shy of $16,000! I think something might have changed as they announced they'd pay creators and counts views in a different way, I think it worked: $12,819 ad rev share $1,865 subs revenue (= $14,684 per 28 days) = $15,995/month Posting on X is finally becoming a real potential income stream 😊👍 This is getting close to passing some of my businesses in revenue which is very cool to see!
