When I see polymarket odds I disagree with

@Domahhhh @Eltonma they need to hire the manatee, manatees are known to be world class engineers

@Eltonma It's unusable right now. I see huge order walls in a market I want to trade and I don't even bother. Obv fake. Really sad. I also woke up to see someone tried to pull off a huge uma scam and nearly succeeded. The site is unfortunately a huge joke atm, need to hire better ppl.

I have been playing on polymarket for almost 2 years. Today is the day I feel most angry about polymarket team. The ghost fill problem is getting much worse and those bastards are doing 50k resting orders both sides. I am getting 3% rewards on markets I suppose to get 50+%. The team said they would ban all those accounts but I think they are doing some lousy job. It is very easy to ban them. Just track big accounts like me or domah etc, check their backend you see failed transactions then you know which accounts are at fault. Check their ip and linked accounts and ban them all. It is easy. I was doing Amazon 20 years ago, Jeff Bezos know how to ban those Chinese cheaters. I don’t get it why poly is not doing things. The whole order book look like shit now. For 2 years I never requests anything from polymarket but I just think the did too bad this time the whole upgrade was not planned well. And as the #1 lp farmer by far. I suggest that poly should kinda compensate all lp farmer that are still doing lp after the upgrade till Monday’s permanent fix is deployed. (And I kinda skeptical if that upgrade really works) At least pay them a few times more based on their pro rata share of the rewards earned. And perhaps give me one polymarket necklace that identical to Paul Logan’s that sold to Pawn Star Rick’s at $30k (well this part is a joke but maybe Shayne should really consider it) This is so bad that even I as a lp farmer that keeps on farming for 650+ days thinking about quit farming. And it seems to me that if those bastards made like 100k accounts before Monday they might still can keep on doing that? Well it seems like nothing really changed much. After the upgrade the fake orders are still there and eating most of the rewards, while I should have gotten say 100k rewards yesterday I only got paid like 16k and fake bits might get a total of 2-300k payout. While farming both side with 100k+ orders. This is beyond sad. And diao also had an argument with me sad.

@housser @Domahhhh @Eltonma the orders are spoofed so when you go to fill orders the transaction fails and reverts it is a known ongoing nonce bug with their system, but is hard to quickly fix as it is an onchain issue

@Domahhhh @Eltonma ya the fake bids are really bad not just for traders, but they also can distort the odds a bit, which is the whole point of a prediction market... I trust they will fix it with time, but giving the rewards to scammers sucks

@Eltonma It's actually insane. The site is just 95% fake offers sapping rewards. They must have given 90 percent of $1m in rewards to scammers. EVERY single large trade I made today was reverted bc the offers were fake.

I had my dumbest loss in prediction markets so far yesterday As Polymarket pushed their update, I managed to buy the wrong side of a bet - I ended up buying 4500 shares of Aliens Confirmed before Kevin Warsh is confirmed at 97.6c I meant to put limits for No but ended up on Yes Most annoying loss I have ever had, basically gave away money

@PredMTrader I think at the tails it would be smart spend for an unlikely candidate It probably would only cost 50k to pump your odds from sub 1% to 5% which could bring a bit of attention to you Also if you actually win you get a big payout for your incoming administration.

I don’t really get the fear that someone would “artificially” prop up the odds of a candidate on a prediction market. There are a lot of sharp market participants that would love to take the other side of an inflated price. Like how would this even work in practice? Someone will post a ton of liquidity at an inflated price for millions of dollars and you think people wouldn’t rush to take the other side? I could maybe see someone market buying an illiquid book to distort the price for like a minute but it seems pretty far fetched that this would influence an outcome.

@EventWavesIO yeah, my guess would be there is a kernel of truth like to date kalshi has done 20-30 million in total for block trades, with payrolls being a popular one I am pretty skeptical that the current payroll market has 20 million in open interest
