Your kids don't bear your father's name. They bear your family surname. It's a way to trace their lineage. The only reason why it doesn't feel important now is because we have lived through one of the most peaceful times in history. If that weren't the case, everyone will lock in with their clan for survival. And to know what clan you belong to. You all carry a traceable name that goes back generations. You'll be cutting your kids off that identity because you want to be cool or different. Your kids benefit nothing, they stand to lose their identity. I'm sure there are guys who have met a girl from their village abroad, only to be asked what the girl's surname is and finding out that that's your cousin. You just saved the world an inbred kid. Because her lineage is traceable.

Obidients, please learn discernment. Not everybody that says something stupid, emotional or offensive is the same kind of threat to a movement. There is a difference between someone who is emotionally impulsive and says things that should have stayed in private conversations… and someone who is genuinely calculated, strategic and capable of causing irreversible damage from within. One needs restraint, maturity and sometimes silence. The other can completely compromise a movement if allowed near its core. Stop treating every situation with the same level of outrage. If you cannot distinguish between emotional recklessness and actual sabotage, you will waste energy fighting the wrong battles while the real threats operate quietly. Know your enemies. Know their capabilities. Most importantly, know who is actually dangerous.

I have seen many Obidients attack Morris Monye for calling on “NDC supporters globally to organize” ahead of the campaigns. Obidients need to be less overzealous. Morris was critical in mobilizing voters in the 2023 general elections. You may dislike him or have your reservations but you can’t deny the fact that he was instrumental in the Obidient movement. Not many Obidients have an idea why he stepped down as the Director of Mobilization for the Obidient Movement. Castigating him for taking a decision you have zero knowledge of the circumstances that brought about it is irrational. Ahead of 2027, you need as many forces as possible. Peter Obi can’t do the grassroots mobilization. It is still Obidients and concerned Nigerians who will. Morris is a strong influence in this regard. Having him back in the movement is a huge plus not a minus.✍️

When Morris resigned as Head of Mobilization, why did you not take up the mantle? That guy travelled everywhere in this country from his own pocket mobilising people. Take the position, spend your money and travel up north, rural south west, creeks in the south south to mobilise people. Your own is to sit in your house to press phone and talk nonsense.
