A ball boy, he even became the club’s mascot throughout the 1990s and remained a loyal home and away supporter for many years, including following the women’s team. Simon had also volunteered his time as assistant kit man. Simon’s passion and commitment to the club will always be remembered. Our thoughts are with his friends, family and all those who knew him.

As I say in this , a problem shared is a problem halved. Destroyed me doing this but I felt I needed to get it off my chest It’s a subject that not many open up about but for me it helps talking about it. Always here for anyone in need ❤️

Didcot Town captain Adam Learoyd scored late to earn the railwaymen a point at Bristol Manor Farm.  Learoyd headed home with eight minutes remaining to earn Didcot their first point of the season.  The railwaymen fought back after going behind just past the hour mark.  The home side started strongly, and only a goalline clearance stopped them from going ahead inside five minutes.  Leigh Bedwell then produced a good save to deny Brandon Bak after the striker got in behind the Didcot defence.  Didcot saw their best chance in the first half cleared away after a goalmouth scramble. Bak went close again for the hosts early in the second half.  The forward hit the outside of the post after good work out wide.  Didcot had a great chance to go ahead five minutes into the second half.  Cam Mills cut the ball back to Kian Duggan, but the midfielder,  who is still waiting for his first Didcot goal,  could only fire wide.  Moments later,  Didcot had another good chance.  This time, Cam McNeill headed wide.  The home side went ahead on 62 minutes.  Mo Djallo had only been on the pitch for one minute when he cut inside and curled his shot into the far corner.  Didcot levelled eight minutes from time.  A deep cross found Learoyd, and his header found its way through a crowded penalty area and into the back of the net.  The railwaymen almost won it in added time.  Owen James found space on the edge of the area, and his goalbound effort was tipped round the post by James Walker in the Farm goal.  A first point of the season, in a much improved performance, to lift the railwaymen off the foot of the table.  Didcot are quickly back in action when they welcome Winchester City to the Loop Meadow Stadium on Monday.
