Good morning and Happy Friday to everyone who noticed that, while even MILLI VANILLI bailed on trump's birthday, EVERYONE showed up for President Obama, including all the living Presidents, Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Common, Eddie Vedder, Tom Hanks, Stephen Spielberg... People showed up for the REAL ones. Michael Steele: "This is a moment that can be about the country. And I think a lot of people are looking at it that way."🙏💪

Obamas out here reminding people of that time when America had a president and first lady who could read.

Happy Juneteenth to my people and our allies. It's gonna take all of us to make this the cookout we know it can be and whatnot.

If we can reclaim the spirit that so many of you showed all those years ago—the spirit that has inspired generations of Americans to answer the call of their time—then together, we can see America through its present trial, align our politics with our highest ideals, and write a brilliant new chapter in America’s best story. Yes, we can.

More than 40 years ago, I arrived in Chicago in search of an idea. I was a young man looking for purpose, who believed deeply in America, was inspired by the Civil Rights Movement, and wanted to be a part of something larger. The America I believed in was one where everyone has opportunity, everyone is seen, everyone belongs—because that was an America that had a place for me, too.

It means so much to Barack and me to open up the Obama Presidential Center on the South Side of Chicago. This is where I grew up, where Barack got his start, and where we raised our girls. So having a place where kids from our community can see themselves, connect with each other, and channel their hope—there’s nothing more powerful than that.

To everyone who helped bring the Obama Presidential Center to life, thank you. Michelle and I are so grateful for all your dedication and hard work over the years. I got a little teary-eyed tonight thinking about my mother-in-law, Marian Robinson.

Barack and I were so honored to have @AkunyiliCrosby create our portrait for the Obama Presidential Center. Her artistic brilliance shines through — and the way she infused such life and joy into the piece is truly extraordinary. We love it, and we think everyone who visits the Center will too!

These guys are so cool and absolutely adorable. People tend to forget that they're wild animals. In fact they're very wild! They can be extremely mean and they sound like the devil when they're angry. I think a couple of these clips show them with rabies. Best to stay away. 🚫🦝
