@thesaraharminta Haven't tested yet, 5.3 codex has been my daily driver. I like opus but the only advantage I see it having is speed and that isn't worth the cost difference. I'm using the models with windsurf, codex is 3-4x cheaper.

@EvenRealities This hits home. AI has enabled me to build a low cost k3 cluster on top of @hetzner. I've built the cluster to be a hosting platform with a web app to manage it. Far beyond my skill level but I'm learning as I build. Never thought this would happen 🤯

There are no aliens. Even if there were (and there aren't) they would have no way of getting here. The distances are simply too vast. Far, far too vast. The nearest star outside of our own sun is 4.2 light-years away. No aliens, no matter how clever, will ever be able to travel anywhere near the speed of light. The laws of physics prevent it. To accelerate any mass at all (even a pebble) to anything approaching even 1/3rd the speed of light would take incomprehensibly vast amounts of energy. You need a lot of spaceship (and I mean YUGE) to hold that much energy. So, now you've got a heck of a lot more than a pebble to move. Your energy problem just got infinitely worse. It's impossible folks. ET ain't out there, and even if he was, he ain't dropping by for a visit.

@makeiteasier_ I totally agree that most movies are slop. I just don’t think that people don’t care. I believe they’ll respond to quality cinema when they see it. I have to believe this because it’s what I am striving to create.

The thing about AI “movies” is, I just don’t care. I’m not impressed. Really. People are like, “wow look what I made with $39!” and its some wild space movie and it just does nothing for me. I’d rather see a $39 movie made by real people with props and sets that looks cheap and silly than a $39 AI movie that looks like a blockbuster.
