Structural ‘data change’ needs to occur. Why did @MaryvilleU change from being serviced by IT to ‘collectively’ defining a data strategy (aka Collective Technology)? To create the necessary conditions for ‘flow’ to happen. No more silos. Data change is hard but wow is it powerful.

10 months after our book launched, business leaders and news outlets are noticing the 7 Boundless design principles that matter most in an AI revolution. We have to think differently about how we work, how we build, how we compete and how we earn meaningful relationships.

It was an honor for me to join Larry Beil (@LarryBeilABC7) and ABC7 Bay Area News to discuss the AI revolution and its impact on work and business. San Francisco is the AI capital of the world and @salesforce is the largest employer in the city. And the #1 AI CRM.

Waste cutting vs. Cost cutting Cost cutting is a silo-based strategy - it is resource oriented approach versus value creation, or relationship building orientation. All waste has a cost associated with it but not all costs are wasteful. This means that all efforts to reduce or eliminate waste will cut the right costs, costs that generate no value. Waste reduction will not cut into the 'muscle' of the organization and make it less fit. Waste reduction is the path to becoming Boundless.

@paulg I highly recommend “Holloway” by @RobGMacfarlane, the book itself and the atmospheric video.

This is a sunken lane, or holloway. It's so old that it has been worn down below the surrounding land. These look like something out of the Lord of the Rings, but they're not at all uncommon in the UK. There are two near our house.
