Today we released some news about our new software developed in collaboration with @qubit_pharma. Hyperion-1 is a massively parallel, GPU-accelerated, state-vector quantum emulator designed to explore the 30++ (exact) qubits regime. @JustinLemkulVT @jpotoff Years ago I tried CAREERS 3 times and failed 3 times. Then I had one app with a couple of E but not funded. If I had to rely on NSF I would not have a career.

Part of the reason my latest CAREER application sunk. One Reviewer (rated me Poor, other two VG) said they didn’t believe several of the experiments that set the premise and some validation for what I proposed. No way I could win with that kind of criticism.

Reviewers of our paper asked for experiments that exist in the literature. So we referred to 4(!) pubs with said experiments. Rejected. Reviewer 1 says they dont believe the published literature. What happened science? When did it turn to a belief rather than data driven system?
