Yes, we’ve been consuming junk and toxic foods for many, many decades, which has caused lifelong harms to our bodies. But, IMHO, even worse are the consequences of consumption of junk and toxic ideas that have utterly destroyed our minds and cultures.

Alright, I'll bite. I tried to do precisely this, devoted a ton of time to a fellowship program which promptly blew up in my face when one of the participants had a public meltdown. Likewise, when I got this precise criticism a few months ago, I messaged some of the critics directly, telling them, 'I'm still hiring, who in particular do you recommend for the job?' Not one came back with any names. The reality is that many of the people in the online right are smart, even brilliant, but not temperamentally equipped for maintaining relationships within an established institution or operating in a very complex, high-conflict public fight. Which is fine. Everyone has a particular role, and the online right is an important space, but the idea that there are "thousands of rw bros" and undiscovered geniuses who would thrive in an institutional environment is simply not the case. Institutions have a risk calculus and, if that's what you want, you have to play the game.
