The Wizards could’ve arrived here with Avdija if they didn’t waste 4 years giving touches to Westbrook, Dinwiddie and other mid PGs. They drafted a 6-8 point forward but didn’t give him the ball. Never made sense. The Blazers figured out how to use Deni basically right away.

I'm really interested by the idea that the Thunder are, objectively, an All-Time team. Wins. Point Differential. Defense. Defense with Offensive Capability. Led by MVP. Depth. Coaching. Culture. Execution.
But they do not feel like the all-time great teams *to me* and I do not know why. (Thunder fans, I get they fell like that to you and that people SHOULD view them that way. Read the first part again.)
If you're not a Thunder fan, does OKC feel like an all-time great team on par with Warriors 2016, 2017, or say, Heat 2012 (who were objectively much worse than OKC), OKC 2014, 01 Lakers, etc? If not, why not?

I don't think any of these are good solutions. First two plans are just too punitive to bad teams and would make rebuilding through the draft too unreliable, thus keeping more teams in the cellar. I don't know that the third plan disincentivizes tanking at all.

The NBA presented three comprehensive anti-tanking concepts to its Board of Governors on Wednesday, with modifications expected to each before a formal vote in May, per ESPN sources. 1. 18 teams in draft lottery (seeds 7-15 in each conference) – flattened odds, with bottom 10 teams having an 8% chance, the remaining 20% odds distributed in decreasing order for 11 through 18, and and a lottery drawing for all 18 picks. 2) 22 teams in lottery using 2-year record (seeds 7-15, plus the four playoff first round exits in both conferences). Lottery teams would reach a minimum win total floor in each season, such as 25 wins. If a team falls short of the floor, it gets slotted to meet the floor. Top 4 drawn as part of lottery, as is currently. 3) 18 teams in a "5 by 5" lottery – bottom 5 teams have equal odds for the top pick, with lottery formed for picks 1-5. Bottom 5 teams have a floor at 10; those that fall out of top 5 get sorted in a separate drawing.

Rob is doing exactly what I thought he’d do going to a bad team that can afford him consistent 25+ minutes. It doesn’t mean he’s a winning player or that the Wolves made the wrong move.
Rob consistently deviated from the game plan, shot 33.3% from the floor, had a turnover a game despite averaging only 9 minutes, and on top of it all was undersized.
Bones actively out played him. On top of that, the guy we traded Rob for is doing pretty damn well too. Im personally way more focused on what we have over worrying about a talented young player who was outplayed by the shell of Mike Conley.
