It's a juvenile bar-tailed godwit (tagged "B6"). These birds prep by gorging to nearly double their body weight in fat—shrinking organs like guts to fit more fuel and cut weight. Marathon records to me are some of the most insane records in all sports. This time is a 4:22 mile which no one reading this could achieve, which is a 65 second 400 which very few reading this could achieve, and he did it for 13 straight miles. Just insane
