@suni_code Great question.
If the code is never stored, it’s usually TOTP.
The server and the authenticator app share a secret key, then both use that secret + the current 30/60s time window in a hash/HMAC function to generate the same code independently and compare it.
@The_HappyPath@suni_code Your diagram has an issue. In the last step you mentioned “if the codes match”. Which code serves matches with? Server gets the otp, recompute the hash and compares with what?
@suni_code If the code is not stored anywhere this must be a Time-based OTP (TOTP), used be authentication apps such as Authy.
Basically code = f(secret_key, current_time), where the secret_key was exchanged during onboarding. The Auth app and the server compute the same code separately.
@Aulksure@Simon_Ingari Actually its not the HRs. Its the managers in your org. They need to understand your value and if they are ready to give you a good hike HR can’t stop it.
@Simon_Ingari This time agree with you. HR never pay existing employee having the experience of system and work, but will pay another who is new to organization.
HR is shit person, they never value existing employees
My wife used to pay 7,000 to the lady who cooked & cleaned.
She was working for 3 years and asked to increase her salary to 8,500 or she will leave.

@JohnSmithGaru Mandatory severance package of 4 months. Continuation of health insurance cover unti new job is found. Freeze of ongoing EMIs until new job is found.
These 30000 Oracle guys who would be jobless now were paying taxes to Government of India.
Government won’t even ask if their kids have their school fees paid from tomorrow.
This is great Indian scam.
Your parents are right when they ask you to be a government leech. Be one.
amazon Prime has to be the most disappointing OTT platform right now.
First, we pay for the subscription.
Then, we’re asked to pay extra just to stop advertisements.
Absolutely ridiculous ads popping up every 15–20 minutes on a paid platform.
Paying for Amazon Prime and still getting Ads… peak comedy 🤡

@BhagatVbek@TheThevaluetrad I am seeing these type posts more now a days. “Know more”, “read more”
This will trick people to open the tweet when they see that in their feed section

@vivekn4u@aditiraaaj All banking apps and other UPI apps are using NPCI as backend. BHIM is india govt and you cannot hide your data from them. I think it is safe to use BHIM.
@IshikaKesarwan4@rblbank Also these gift card codes are generally delivered to email. That means his email account is also compromised.
Once your primary email account gets compromised, you are doomed because we generally link everything to one email id.
my dad’s phone was compromised, OTPs kept arriving without pause. By morning, ₹42,000 had vanished. The credit card was blocked, but too late. It was a @rblbank credit card.
We reported it within an hour, to the bank and to cybercrime, believing that acting fast would help. The transactions, we later learned, were made on @flipkartsupport PlayStation gift cards.
Days passed with no response. No recovery. Then an email from the bank: it wasn’t considered card or credit fraud. They couldn’t help, bank says it’s not their responsibility.
Where is the customer support? And what is the point of fraud monitoring if the bank can’t detect or stop an obvious fraud in real time? @rblbank
Has anyone gone through something like this before?
Any guidance would really help.

@AmandaH53287213 I 100% agree.
But not all employees have a good manager.
And even if it is “just” about a pay raise, that is still very good for employees.
@KVengatta@normaly_abnorml Not true, they will give a bill with gipsa rate that will go to insurance company. The difference beed to be paid by your from your pocket.
Guys, please suggest no nonsense personal health insurance policies and your experience with it.
I won't mind paying little high premium unless it's not justifiable with all recent GST cuts.
