Someone joined me ingame on a blue verified tick account, said they work for @Bloxy_News & wanted to do an interview for my game - im just chilling in tesla self driving simulator so im like why not i guess. add them on discord, they tell me about how they're a nursing student and whatnot, and ask about my history on roblox - Discord account is 2 years old, but only 1 month of Nitro, I figure it's all weird but whatever, whats the risk. Then they send me a link to a "Bloxy News" server, community status, 5,000 members, and tell me to make a ticket mentioning them. Anyway, get to the server and it's RoVer, looks normal. Click the link and I'm taken to "rover-verify. info" (link separated, don't go to this). I haven't used RoVer in ages so whatever. Click the verify button & it's not Roblox verification, it's 'roblox. com. py', and not Roblox OAuth, just a direct login screen. At that point all the alarms started ringing, obviously didn't enter anything into it and left the site. I confronted them. Then it was just damage control, trying to convince me it's not a scam so I don't go reporting their accounts. I believe this Roblox account is unfortunately compromised roblox.com/users/48274693… Be careful out there, anything can happen, unfortunately.

Hi everyone! I'd like to make an announcement. These past 4 years has been amazing. I've gotten to work closely with various and diverse individuals from game developers to 3D artists and learn about their projects. However, I'm afraid this era is coming to an end. I've recently graduated from college, and with that, I am also leaving behind my graphic design career on ROBLOX. I'm forever grateful to the people I have met and supported me, the 4,000 followers who've chosen to follow me along my journey, and overall this community that welcomed me when I first joined. Never would I have ever thought, a young boy back then whose eyes lit up from the unique, innovative, and creative designs I saw on ROBLOX, would get the opportunity to contribute to many of the games you see on the Discover page. It saddens me to say goodbye to something I've held onto for so long and has had such a huge impact on my life. I'll occasionally do work for any past clients who are interested still, but I will not be procuring new clients at this time. With that said, thank you RTC so much. Early on UGC creators made hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions, from creating a mesh & texturing it. That was really something that was unheard of prior to UGC. Nobody should be financially relying on a market where Roblox selects particular devs to receive special treatment. The only good reason for it that I can get behind is that they helped test the new creator marketplace - and for that, they reaped the benefits. But it should be over with now. Nothing against the program but it’s insane how much they complain for basically being given a free opportunity to make as much money as they did. Modeling accessories & creating entire games aren’t even close.

Not trying to be rude in any way. But having a monopoly over new Roblox items and a lot of the top people making millions of USD in the past few years is still a blessing, even if it's ending. You now have enough money and connections to practically do anything. I see a ton of UGC creators upset by this update (the pricing is outrageous ), but eventually, the monopoly had to come to an end... I mean, imagine if Roblox had only let a few thousand Roblox developers make games; those developers would be filthy rich and also be quite upset when Roblox opens it up to everyone- but it makes the playing field more fair for everyone and allows more creators to make livings on the platform. Isn't this something to be a little bit more grateful for? a 4 year monopoly is still pretty good! I think that just like Roblox shirts and pants, it'll at the end of the day just make the platform better. There will be short-term downsides but long-term upsides. I think this update will end up being great for so many people, and I'm sorry you are negatively effected by this.

@StevenJHarmon1 @AntonHand Has everything to do with the product and nothing to do with the person creating the game. Most of the people I work with don’t even have degrees and earn 10x that of those who do.

@AntonHand I'm not even that old and I feel like I've already aged out of gifted and talented young solo gamedev and am now just an unemployed burnt out disappointment.
