I found a new way to fight context rot. The /compact command feels too magical and gives me little control, so I created my own /export-context command. It prompts Claude to interactively craft a summary prompt that I can use to start a new chat. It that captures the gist of what we've been working on and instructs what to do next.

I don't like agent orchestration thing. I like to care about my code and to precisely control what's happening. I like to inspect every test case that Claude writes. Maybe I'll outgrow it someday, but for now I don't see myself delegating all of the work to ai.

i used to be an early user of notion, obsidian, roam research, and dozens of other apps, but i've never succeeded in maintaining my 'digital garden'. for years, i've thought i'm just a lazy person who cannot make a strong-willed decision to build a habit to organize my bookmarks, articles, and all important information i need. i even purchased once a whole course on how to build your second brain with obsidian. unsuccessful. it took me years to realize that i have a mild form of adhd. it doesn't hurt my life quality, but i'm simply unable to organize information the way how existing tools work. after years of research, i've tried to build social maps to save my location history and interactions with friends by saving my memories and conversations in the background, notes on maps, all the time i've been working around this personal issue. and a couple of months ago, i decided that i have to solve my personal struggle. i started talking with people who potentially have adhd symptoms or similar problems. and it turned out there are a lot of people who feel isolated due to existing market offerings. one of the interviewees said, "it feels like all these productivity apps were created by productive people for productive people." i started poi labs where we aim to create experiences: reading, listening, saving, and retrieving information, working or brainstorming with saved data, text/audio/video analyses to map it and recreate a whole augmented human-like memory process for people like me. that is a fascinating journey and i'm happy to invite everyone who shares the same problems with organizing and remembering information they save on the internet.
