Scam Alert in #Bangalore #Bengaluru We live in Jayanagar 4th T Block, neighbouring some of the senior State and Central Govt officials and even Supreme court judge and some of the top @Infosys founders. Saturday morning, 4th Oct'2025, 7 am my wife got a call from a person who introduced himself as Devaraj, @NammaBESCOM Lineman and said our power meter is damaged and needs to be replaced immediately. He sent his @NammaBESCOM ID and demanded money 5500/- to be transferred to replace power meter. We lost power immediately after the call. We called him back. He said power is removed for the entire block temporarily. To restore, we need to transfer the money by UPI. He sent his @NammaBESCOM ID once again. My wife transferred money. We realised that beneficiary name is Srinivas, not Devaraj. We called. He confirmed that he received money and will be replacing faulty meter before noon. Since then we called up the number dozens of times with no reply. Today @NammaBESCOM guys confirmed us that there is nobody called Devaraj working with them. The most unfortunate part of this story is I got cheated exactly same way some five months back. Calling a resident at 7 am with information about the resident and address and Someone claiming to be @NammaBESCOM Lineman then disconnecting power. I don't think one conman is capable of doing it, unless some real group from @NammaBESCOM is involved. Day after the day life is becoming miserable with terrible corruption, extortion and scams in Bangalore. My wife went to Tilak Nagar Police station to file a case. They simply refused to accept the case. @BlrCityPolice @CPBlr @jayanagarps I am surprised how normal people survive when rogues are having field day. How a middle class person can not get cheated when someone is capable of removing power and demand money on behalf of @NammaBESCOM. @Tejasvi_Surya sir and several leaders who are so proud of Jayanagara, Bangalore I am just wondering can we at least have one place that every Kannadiga is proud of. Out of four final appearances. Still, it’s that one win we kept believing would come our way. Every single year. When Virat scored 970+ runs in one season. When Mr. Gayle smashed that 170+ Runs in one innings. When ABD and Mr. Kohli together chased over 200+ Runs unbeaten at Wankhede. Every single time, we were losers. We never got the glory. Insult was just another regular moment of the life. It is like an average day in a middle class life. Hope and disappointment. RCB lived through it all. Through every insult.
