Why do MacBook users hesitate to switch to Windows?

@CodeEdison Crazy question when the current trends are mass adoption of Linux and disposal of windows. I've never heard of anyone say 'man i wish I could take macOs off my laptop." But a large portion of windows users have left to linux distros

I hate to be rude, but apple is a fashion icon not a technological icon. Most people who use Mac would not be caught dead with Windows because they would not want to admit to their friends that they are using something other than mac. They are constantly spewing outdated opinions and opinions that they probably developed 5-15 years ago in the computer lab at school. I'm a Windows user and an Android user and a Linux user and a minimal phone user. The amount of times I pull a device out and get mocked by an apple Fanboy is ridiculous. I don't give a shit what somebody else is using, leave me and my absolutely perfectly functioning Windows computer alone. Especially since the 3D rendering scanning and design work that I do won't operate on 12 gigs of fake Ram. I like macbook, it just doesn't work for me. But I have 15 year old Sony Vaio computers running Ubuntu with 64 gigs of RAM purchased cheap that run circles around modern MacBooks. But that's the difference between understanding how a computer works and making a computer work for you, compared to having a fashion item that you work around. It would be like going on a trip to Everest and one person has Mountain Hardwear that might not be the current fashion but gets the job done absolutely perfectly, but somebody else is carrying a Louis Vuitton bag that's easier to open but is subpar in the environment. For some people brand name is everything and trump's utility, and computers are no exception.
