@CodeRed_dev Always factor in manpower. If it's a 5 person team working fulltime in a low cost of living country, it probably doesn't compare to a solo dev working parttime. Both are "indie", but really shouldn't be compared. Yes, I realize gamers don't care, but this is just for comparing.

@CodeRed_dev If it makes you feel better, I once said “making a game looks easy enough” and then I tried it. Game dev is not easy. At all. So even garbage is better than nothing.

@CodeRed_dev This is why I don't spend a lot of time in the gamedev space. Comparison is the thief of joy. I just wanna make my games and tell my stories. 😭

@CodeRed_dev There’s so much talent on here. Wouldn’t have seen half of it if I didn’t start making my own game.

You know, I do look at other games sometimes and go, "Damn, how did they do this, it looks amazing and mine is a potato." But then I remind myself, I've only been doing this for a year, I work full time and I don't need to compare. That's like looking at guys much more fit than me and being angry about my gym progress. But I also remind myself, I do this for me, not for others. My progress is what matters most.

@CodeRed_dev Honestly when I see another dev's game (has to be a solo dev), I just get more inspired to work on mine. Like seeing another guy that's jacked, I just wanna hit the gym harder.

@CodeRed_dev Yeah it’s always kinda both. On the one hand, it is great to see what a person is capable of if time is well invested. On the other, sometimes I feel like I will never be there :D
