This sport is beyond cooked

@CorePython Cap is going up, this years free agent class is horrendous. Wasn’t far off from matching all of his career highs, and not much of a raise either. It’s the term that’s the problem, but it’s what teams are going to have to do if the free agent crop is bad.

The term is the issue. The AAV isn’t. With the cap going up, middle-6 C’s are going to get more money. Kevin Hayes got stupid money (north of $7m) from Philly in 2019 and Coyle is a better player than him. If he can give them 4 good years, Columbus will take that. Not saying I agree with the contract, but we’re gonna see middle-6 C’s start to get contracts more like this. Although I’ll say Coyle is getting paid more like a 2C becuase of last season.
