@DatabaseHit The stat that still boggles my mind is the top five starters made 156 of the 162 starts. 2025 Tigers top 5 SP? 115 of 162.

@DatabaseHit You can thank Big Poppi for knocking them down in game 2 in Boston. Without that home run late in the game, Detroit goes on to win the AL and the World Series. That was a manager mistake keeping our struggling reliever in. That wouldn’t happen today with analytics…

@DatabaseHit It's a giant kick in the dick that they couldn't get a title for the best owner in all of sports... Yzerman/Lidstrom/Fedorov/Shanahan/Datsyuk/Z /etc. got him 4 Stanley Cups, but those Tigers teams between 06-15' or so couldn't get Mr.I a World Series.

@DatabaseHit No bullpen. Leyland committed to Phil Coke as his closer. Would have been better to use one of the SP as late innings guy, but no such luck.

@DatabaseHit Benoit was a 2.8 WAR player in 2013. 24 saves, 2.01 ERA over 67 IP. Gave up just 47 hits, K’d 73. He had a rough go in Boston but he was a very good all season. Drew Smiley was also good. The rest of the pen really suspect from day to day.
