I wrote a few weeks ago that I felt the retained list would be brutal in regards to our u21 squad to clear the pathway for our u18s and under. Many will be shocked with some of the names released. I totally get it. There's more to being a pro footballer than talent for sure.

@DiffDevelopment i welcome it tbh, albeit harsh i looked at a lot of the 21’s that were left last season and not featuring for first team and can’t really see them featuring for us. Makes sense to push on the super talented next gen then recruit as we’ve done from those top academies

@mjccfc Exactly this. Our first team squad is filled with 21s players it stands to reason those playing for the 21s are all vulnerable with the talent emerging at younger age groups. The system doesn't allow you to stand still, it's a constant evolution.
