I wrote a few weeks ago that I felt the retained list would be brutal in regards to our u21 squad to clear the pathway for our u18s and under. Many will be shocked with some of the names released. I totally get it. There's more to being a pro footballer than talent for sure.

@mjccfc Exactly this. Our first team squad is filled with 21s players it stands to reason those playing for the 21s are all vulnerable with the talent emerging at younger age groups. The system doesn't allow you to stand still, it's a constant evolution.

@DiffDevelopment i welcome it tbh, albeit harsh i looked at a lot of the 21’s that were left last season and not featuring for first team and can’t really see them featuring for us. Makes sense to push on the super talented next gen then recruit as we’ve done from those top academies

@philip1927 @henrysaye Absolutely. Managers to a man rock up with their trusted gk coach. Such a specialist role as important as his assistant and all other members of his staff. Our keepers are not only responsible for goalkeeping but play a vital role in our build up play.

@DiffDevelopment @henrysaye Exactly what I said when we first heard he was going. BBM inherited much of the coaching staff and now he is finally putting his own stamp on things. May be more changes. Rumour is that a guy who worked with BBM at Man City is in the frame for the job.

16 year-old midfielder Pedro Araujo is set to join Cardiff City from Crystal Palace.🤯✍️ Pedro will sign his scholarship with Cardiff City and will join from the 2026/27 season.✅ From U7-U11, Pedro was at Arsenal, then he spent his U12 season at Stevenage before signing for Crystal Palace as a U13.🦅 Pedro will be playing for Cardiff’s U18 side next season (alongside Cass Machin, who signed from Manchester City recently).😯 Yet another great addition to their academy.👏🔵

What a season it has been! County battled through a tough season and showed great fight and resilience to survive on the final day 👏🏿 A hard‑earned escape that can hopefully be a springboard for next season 🧡🖤 The Bluebirds enjoyed a very successful campaign, earning promotion with a second‑place finish🏆 Momentum firmly with them to build and push on next year in the Championship🐦💙 On a side note - Sad to see my mate Gavin “Gward” Ward leave Cardiff after a top season, shown in N. Trott’s performances. Great catching up with him on the @robandblakey podcast — promotion in ’93 as a player and ’26 as a coach is special. All the best for the future, Gward 👊🏿

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Keep an eye on Paul Moreno at Cardiff City. He became the youngest league debutant in the club’s history yesterday. Born in 2010, he’s only 16-years-old. A versatile central midfielder who is very physical and strong in his duels. Does well to arrive in the box. Has a strong shot on him. Very good technical base as well. Can also play as an attacking midfielder and further forward. He scored 3 goals and registered 3 assists in 3 games for Wales U17 national team. Already made his debut for the U19 national team. One to watch at the U19 Euros perhaps.
