James literally compares “Faith Alone” to the doctrine of demons. That doesn’t bother you?

James doesn't compare faith alone to demons. He compares dead faith, mere intellectual assent, to demons. Demons believe God exists. They don't trust Christ. Paul answers, "How is a sinner justified before God?" James answers, "What does genuine faith look like?" Different questions. Perfect harmony.
