Post

@IndianTechGuide I said there will be significant changes in Railways in the next 5 to 10 years.
RAC is going to be in history books sooner. Only thing is they should provide sufficient trains.
English

Fares are calculated at approx. ₹2.4/km (3AC), ₹3.1/km (2AC), and ₹3.8/km (1AC), making them higher than regular premium trains like Rajdhani for similar routes, but with superior speed and amenities. For longer trips (e.g., up to 3,500 km), 1AC can go as high as ₹13,300.
Key Features & Amenities
This 16-coach fully air-conditioned train (11 × 3AC, 4 × 2AC, 1 × 1AC) has a total capacity of around 823 passengers. It includes:
• Ergonomically designed berths with better cushioning and privacy
• Automatic doors with vestibules for smooth movement
• Modern washrooms, USB charging ports, individual reading lights, and infotainment displays
• Enhanced ride quality with superior suspension, reduced noise, and advanced safety systems (like Kavach)
• CCTV surveillance and high sanitation standards

English

@IndianTechGuide Hope they depute some police guards as well to stop the unauthorized boarding of ticketless people.
English

@IndianTechGuide Vande Bharat Sleeper sets a new standard, but confirmed only tickets risk leaving everyday travelers behind.

@IndianTechGuide This is how it should be. RAC is a scam and needs to be abolished/ reworked better.
If they maintain punctuality and cleanliness this is going to be a massive boost. Strict punishment with cameras for people who have no civic & hygiene sense will be cherry on top.
English

@IndianTechGuide With no RAC and no waiting list, removing last-minute berth adjustments changes the experience completely. Those fares reflect certainty, not luxury.
If operations stay consistent, everything stays fixed and clear from booking till the journey ends.
English

@RailMinIndia now recruit lethal looking, heavy build, zero-nonsense bouncers for trains like these.
The moment some so called ‘patriotic citizen’ litters, refuses to flush, or turns the train into a dustbin, they should be dragged out, beaten, fined brutally, and humiliated on the spot.
Fear and punishment are the only language Indian people understand.
English

@IndianTechGuide Although it's a very good improvement, "revolutionize" might not be a right word to represent it.
Train will take around 14 hrs to cover 966 kms at an average speed of 69 kmph, that's not revolutionary. 🤔

English

@IndianTechGuide No RAC. No waiting list. Only confirmed tickets. This alone fixes half the pain of train travel, like no more “Adjust kar lo”, no floor seating, no fighting over berths.
Next upgrade hopefully : Confirmed basic manners (civic sense).
English

@IndianTechGuide That's very good 👍 no rush no chaos
Only those passengers who have confirmed tickets are allowed
English

@IndianTechGuide Guwahati to Delhi is approx 2000 km.
Vanda Bharat ticket will cost between 6K-8K and take about 2 days.
A flight ticket costs around Rs 6K-8K and takes 3 hours.
Why should passengers choose Vande Bharat?
English

@IndianTechGuide Is it not a luxury train?
But they are selling it for the common man.
English

@IndianTechGuide No waiting, no RAC; only confirmed and comfortable travel! This 'Vande Bharat Sleeper' avatar of Indian Railways is going to make the journey pleasant and premium. 🇮🇳 #VandeBharatSleeper #IndianRailways #NewIndia #TravelTech
English

@IndianTechGuide One of the best decision by Indian Railways to not allow Waiting list bookings.
English

@IndianTechGuide Vande Bharat Executive Class seats are extremely uncomfortable and non-ergonomic. They should immediately overhaul all those first.
English

Indian Railways is enforcing strict discipline with the Vande Bharat Sleeper. A minimum fare for 400 km ensures that only serious, long-distance travelers board the train.
Confirmed Only: If your ticket isn't confirmed, you simply can't board. No exceptions.
Smart Fares: 3AC starts at ₹960—bringing world-class luxury within reach of the middle class.
Modern Living: Features include modular bio-vacuum toilets and even shower cubicles in 1AC.
Do you think all premium trains should adopt the "No RAC" policy? What do you think?
English

@IndianTechGuide It's quite nice; it's also very cheap and affordable, giving off a premium vibe.
English

Finally, a train where 'Reserved' actually means Reserved. 🔒
The 'No RAC/Waitlist' rule is aggressive, but necessary.
Old Reality:
❌ 100 seats, 200 people.
❌ Sleep disturbed by RAC passengers.
❌ Overcrowded toilets.
New Reality:
✅ 100 seats, 100 people.
✅ Airline-level privacy.
We wanted world-class travel. Well, world-class means Zero Overcrowding. Even if it hurts.

@IndianTechGuide Vande Bharat Sleeper isn’t about speed — it’s about time arbitrage.
Overnight trains convert dead travel hours into productive rest, quietly competing with short-haul flights and premium buses on cost, comfort, and reliability.
English

@IndianTechGuide All looks great but let’s see if we can get confirmed tickets or it’s only for privileged people
English

@IndianTechGuide Impose heavy fines on those who litter, spit paan, vandalize public property or steal things like blankets.
English

@IndianTechGuide No RAC ❌
No WL ❌
Only confirmed tickets ✅
This alone fixes 50% of Indian Railways stress.
If execution is solid, this is a real game-changer 🚆🔥
English

@IndianTechGuide Seems like it has luxury features at such a low price. Great.
It would be so good if people also get responsible and keep it clean.
English

@IndianTechGuide Eagerly waiting to get it started for the Southern railway.
English

@IndianTechGuide Railways ignoring millions suffering daily in overcrowded general coaches to launch Vande Bharat Sleeper? Prioritize safe, dignified unreserved travel FIRST! Speed & luxury later.
