@O2 mums currently with o2, I can see this to buy a new sim only plan that wants to send us a new sim (therefore new number), how does this work with keeping current number?? “Upgrades” want almost double this for less data 😂

@MyApocalypse_ Hi Natalie, we're sorry for any issue you're having with changing your mum's plan. To confirm, are you doing this through her O2 app? A new SIM card doesn't always mean a new number. It could be a replacement SIM if we believe she needs a new one. So it would be the same number.

@O2 Yeah via the app, we go almost all the way through and it goes on about Royal Mail postage etc. it’s as if doing an upgrade is going to cost double what it would to get a new sim only plan, don’t want to go all the way through buying it for it not to keep her number

@MyApocalypse_ Thank you for that information. If you are going through the upgrade part on the app then this would be to keep the existing number and not for a new number.

@O2 Yep that I know. I’ve just done that myself. But it’s now the issue of 80gb data for £10/month via a new sim, vs 100gb for £27+ to upgrade?!? Why are the upgrade deals so expensive compared to the other deals?
