It is a crushing indictment of our collective conscience that on the same soil, one side celebrates abundance while the other drags a cart of sorrow through the rubble. We are watching two different timelines unfold simultaneously; in one, the tragedy is running out of time to shop, and in the other, it is simply running out of time.
