@RealEmirHan This moment show smith wasn’t a run of a mill agent. He was a program that is actually experiencing the human emotion of hatred and pleasure. And this moment is quite early in the film.

Weaving's performance as Agent Smith is an example of psychological warfare. That flat and hyper-articulate delivery is unsettling because it suggests a level of total dominance. He sounds like someone who has already figured you out and finds your existence to be nothing more than a minor data error. This specific way of speaking hits on a deep human fear of cold authority. The reason being when a person stays that calm and detached while threatening you, it tends to trigger an instinctive alarm that you are being hunted by something far more efficient and powerful than a human. Hence, the person feels a loss of control, and it becomes an existential threat.

@RealEmirHan Hugo Weaving is an exceptional actor (The Matrix, LOTR, V for Vendetta, etc.). I've watched The Matrix over and over again, and what's even crazier is that Smith is actually the only character who tells the truth from beginning to end in all three films

@RealEmirHan It’s a guy thing to just randomly quote some movie in a work setting to build camaraderie. Agent Smith from the first Matrix is easily the most quotable and the most fun to impersonate imo. “It seems you’ve been living… 2 lives”. 😆

@RealEmirHan Always had a soft spot for Langella's Boris Balkan, but I don't think he's the best.

@RealEmirHan I've said this before, In the first action sequence of the movie, it seemed like he could be the good guy chasing a criminal with OCD about answering a phone.

@RealEmirHan I liked the emotional gestures he would occasionally show. They were quite clear expressions of feeling, yet they carried something almost inhuman about them, and in no time they became an iconic symbol of his character.
