@RojavaNetwork Kurds expanded into Anatolia as part of Ottoman policy because the Turkmen in that region were Shia not Sunni. Most Turks are heavily turkmen when you take the Iranian admixture that came with the Asiatic Turkic component. Turks are Turks not Greeks.

@RojavaNetwork This post is just wrong and easily researched. Most of modern Turks ancestry comes from the long-standing populations of Asia Minor that were already there before the Seljuks arrived from Central Asia. The Central Asian Turkic component is layered on top of this older base.
