The software industry is rapidly converging on just three languages: Go, Rust, and JS. It would be smart to learn one of those really well, and have at least a working acquaintance with the other two.

@bitfield Nope. I don't think so. If anything it's the language in trend now. AI, ML, LLMs, generative art, data analysis and data science are python focused.

@barri_samb @bitfield I totally agree with you (I'm biased, I use Python every day for work), but I think Python's popularity is only in its infancy and that it has many, many more use cases that what you might think @bitfield
