There are several towns like that. At least one in Texas. They are all utter, abject failures. They are so bad it's almost funny if it wasn't also dangerous. Like having to move because of bears? I actually was into it for a while after reading Ayn Rand. But then I grew out of it pretty quickly when I turned 14.
