@UnityCodeMonkey Is it a live video, or pre-recorded?
If live, I echo @TurboMakesGames & @Dilmerv - write bullet points and know the subject well enough to improv.
If pre-recorded: print the script, read & memorise just one line, present it to the camera, and repeat (edit out the delays after)!
English

@UnityCodeMonkey Use a teleprompter.
At a distance, your eyes don't look like they're wandering much -- but up close the effect is magnified. So, either, stand further away from it, (or) make the distance of the text a similar width to the lens.
English

@UnityCodeMonkey Not a YT pro, but i present A LOT. Do you really need a script? Try outlines/bulletpoints to keep you on track. You know what you are talking about, it will come off more natural that way. It's gonna feel awkward, but that's okay. Just another muscle to build up. My 2 cents.
English

@UnityCodeMonkey Oooohh exciting! As others said, it's best to know what you are talking about well enough that you can talk confidently about something from a few bullet points. Also you can use the power of editing to clip out mistakes or put b-roll over parts where you need to read the script!
English

@UnityCodeMonkey You're alot less hairy than I thought you'd be... and where's your tail??
English

Create an outline and explain each bullet point in your own words, I tried a teleprompter and it came off very unauthentic and felt awkward while doing it 😅 I know it works for other people but I just haven’t had much luck with it. As far as making it look good, just get this one “Padcaster Parrot Portable Teleprompter” it is tiny and high quality.
English

@UnityCodeMonkey The trick is to learn the script enough that you can just glance at the next sentence to remember what to say. Think about how you would talk to a friend, you wouldn't stare him in the face 100% of the time. We naturally look away for a second. Use that to read the next sentence.
English

@UnityCodeMonkey I’m not considered a “pro” but here’s some advice. Try to stick to one take or one video. When you make a mistake reading through your script, pause and then resume where you left off without stopping the recording.
It saves time during editing.
Also, you’re very jacked.
English

@UnityCodeMonkey There are teleprompters that literally go in front of the lens. Note, I am not a pro. Gerald Undone had a video recently that used your phone.
English
@UnityCodeMonkey You can make telepromter by yourself, pretty easily : )

@UnityCodeMonkey I usually look at the script, try to say it while looking at the camera, and since I'm terrible at remembering lines, I usually say it in a different way (whatever I'm able to recall). It's more natural, and still gets the point across!
English

@UnityCodeMonkey there is an AI tool that can make you look into the camera, i don't remember the name tho
English

When I find the answer I’ll let you know 🤣 I usually write bullet points but my memory is also terrible so I end up recording a lot of different takes (all in one go) and rereading them between. Then I slice them up to take the best ones during editing. Nice to see you experimenting with a new format. 👍
English

@UnityCodeMonkey I came across this technology by coincidence today. I want to try it soon but have yet to get a chance. So try and let us know if it is applicable.

@UnityCodeMonkey Here’s the trick.
Dry run 3x, murder mundane script, make bullet points for ease. Put a tomato (red) 1 foot behind cam.
Hi I’m your code monkey, this is blank. When you read you cadence + over think flow. Use script as guide not verbatim unless fact stating. (You can dub post)
English

@UnityCodeMonkey Remember your scripts, record them in chunks so that you don't forget your lines and have a clean video.
English

@UnityCodeMonkey teleprompter the camera is behind and mirror lense hide the camera so you see screen and you watch it so you watch to camera
