I am constantly telling people to record everything. Let me tell you what radicalized me. When my son was 3 years old, I was told to put him in daycare one day a week to "socialize him". He has Asperger's. He came home one day with bruises up and down his arm. He said: "Miss Veronica pinched me." I confronted her, and the head of the "care center". They both said my son did it to himself and was blaming Miss Veronica because she was black he was racist. A 3 year old. I filed a police report. His doctor said they were pinch bruises and he couldn't have done it to himself, because he didn't have the dexterity in his fingers and even if he did, he would have stopped long before it caused bruising. He said he'd testify to it. Miss Veronica refused to take a polygraph test. And, because there were no cameras in the room or other children to say she did it, the police told me there was nothing they could do. It was her word against a 3 year old. Several other employees quit when they found out. Three weeks later, Miss Veronica was on the news being arrested for squirting liquid hand soap in the mouth of a child at the center. This time, she did it in front of other children, who told the police it was true. This was long before social media. There was no Libs of TikTok to make it go viral. No Video/No Crime. And never let anyone have access to you or especially your children without surveillance running. NEVER.

Right off the bat, she translates the first line “Sing to me of the man, Muse, the man of twists and turns…” as "Tell me about a complicated man." She frames Odysseus as a flawed, morally gray figure and emphasizes his deception, manipulation, infidelity, and brutality rather than romanticizing his heroism. She presents Circe as a powerful goddess and dangerous host, not as a sexual predator. She emphasizes the imbalance of power between Calypso and Odysseus more clearly, making the situation feel closer to male captivity than romance. She tones down the “female evil” of Scylla that some older translators used. She makes The Sirens eerie and intelligent rather than hyper-sexualized erotic manipulators. She highlights the maids’ youth and vulnerability and emphasizes they were coerced and raped, rather than complicit. And she gives Penelope more intellectual sharpness and agency. So if this is the version Nolan shot, he's not making "Homer's Odyssey": He's making the live-action version of "Homer Simpson's Odyssey."

They can use him as an anecdote in their classroom lectures and dinner parties in the Hamptons with Jimmy Kimmel. They can feel good about their diverse group of friends. They can close their mansion gates at night feeling they’ve done their part to help the poors. Justin is on it and he’s yelling loudly and don’t we just love it when he starts dancing and shouting like he’s in one of those very animated black churches? That’s what Justin gets out of this. That’s what changed. He found approval. It’s all he’s ever wanted.

I’ve gone to the same gym for almost 4 years now. Good friends with nearly everyone there. One day a guy who used to make small talk with me, just stopped. Didn’t think much of it, but it went on for weeks. Found out later he’s a liberal and someone showed him my X account and he just won’t talk to me now. This has happened many many many times since becoming publicly conservative. I’ve lost many friends and even many more acquaintances. They won’t even discuss us. Won’t even look at me. It’s bad for me… but it’s 10,000x worse for my wife. Liberal women are genuinely EVIL to conservative women. It’s on another level. Pure evil. No one talks about this enough but the public shaming of people who are openly conservative is extremely intense and unless you have a lot of mental fortitude and surround yourself with better people quickly… I can understand why many find it is not worth saying anything at all. But that doesn’t make it harder for those of us who speak up… because we are the few.
