One thing I still don’t understand… Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag kept its original version on Steam Assassin’s Creed Liberation is still available too But Assassin’s Creed III? Replaced completely. Why not just give players the choice?

Ubisoft Support confirmed they’ve passed on feedback about bringing back the original AC3 on Steam. No guarantees, but it’s good to see it’s at least been acknowledged.

No hidden blade combat in Black Flag Resynced is a very huge letdown ngl. If you are trying to stay as faithful to the original game, something this important must be there. I understand cutting smaller things here and there or changing a few elements, but this isn't small. So many of us have done hidden blade only runs. It's a big part of the OG game.

@ac_daily_news Yeah I think it could be a good entry point, especially if it keeps the core gameplay intact. Black Flag is already one of the more accessible AC games.

@UbisoftSupport @Steam Good tip for troubleshooting 👍 but it’s a bit frustrating seeing basic fixes when there are still bigger platform issues too — like AC3 being absent from Steam altogether, which a lot of players are still asking about.

@AC3Steam Соглашусь, играть можно. В конце концов, когда он вышел, я очень соскучился по игре (у меня была только PS4) поэтому без разбора предзаказал и прошёл залпом и оригинал, и дополнения. Играть можно, но всё ещё рекомендую оригинал :)

@revikkura I think the original did have some issues, but it was still playable for a lot of people. The remaster fixed some things but also changed visuals, so it really comes down to preference.

@AC3Steam I believe it was because OG AC3 had major bugs, and Remastered just fixed everything that was broken, I might be wrong tho. I bet you can still get the old version if you lurk around long enough.

@MysterD Yeah that would actually be a fair middle ground. Letting people who buy the remaster also access the original would solve a lot of these issues around choice and preservation.

@AC3Steam B/c they want you to buy & play new version, which cost way more $ for us to buy at launch. Honestly, if they want to de-list old-version for sale - they really should do the "middle ground" to just stick old-version access for buying the NEW version of its Remaster/Re-Release.

@NNmdotO I get the frustration, but I wouldn’t say it’s that extreme. The remaster does have improvements, even if some people prefer the original lighting and presentation. It really just comes down to preference.

@AC3Steam Потому что ремастер AC3 - настолько плохая игра, что разработчики понимали, что в здравом уме её покупать не будут. Ремастер не добавил фактически ничего нового, кроме багов, ужасного переделанного освещения. Рекомендую найти старую версию AC3 и играть в неё, ибо сама игра шедевр

@ExploudLOS @SH3RIFFO Mostly it’s the original visual style and character models. Some people also prefer the lighting and overall tone of the original compared to the remaster.

@ICounterSlash I get the point, but even if AC3R is mostly visual upgrades, some players still prefer the original feel. Liberation is also included in the remaster but still has its original version available, so it feels like AC3 could’ve had the same treatment.

@AC3Steam I just reread the tweet, AC3 remastered is basically the same exact game but with upscaled graphics, there’s no point in keeping the original version. Black Flag Resynced is a remake so technically a new game

@damp_webs Not quite — the remaster improves visuals, lighting, textures and bundles all DLC + Liberation, plus a few small gameplay tweaks. The core story is the same though.

@Ragebait117 Yeah that’s fair for some older PC ports, but AC3 actually ran pretty well overall. I think it’s more about preservation and choice than performance issues in this case.

@AC3Steam Provavelmente não esta tão funcional, jogos dessa epoca não eram bem otimizados no pc, tem jogo que se você tenta jogar vai só se estressar, jogo vai ficar fechando sozinho, corrompendo save e por ai vai
