@awong_SF That is part of the problem. I also think it is particularly hard to hire good technical talent at government wages because there is so much competition in this region from all the high tech companies. This goes double for executive leadership.

"We live in the heart of Silicon Valley. Why doesn't gov't have better tech?" I hear this ALL. THE TIME. Its bc there's no political incentive to make these critical investments.

Oh, did I mention, to see the available dates at a specific post office you have to click on that office. But if you now want to return to the list of offices you have to start the form over? That's fun.

I'm trying to schedule an appointment to renew my daughters passport. @USPS

@USPS So, it finally started working. But there are no appointments available at the nearest 20 post offices that offer this service. The only appointment I could find is three months out on 4/26 at 10 am. Minors can't renew online. Many renewal centers are only 9-4 M-F.

This morning I got to wait 20 minutes for a westbound K at West Portal Station while two S shuttles came through the station. There were no westbound M trains in that time either. Please schedule your trains better than this @SFMTA_Muni @jeffreytumlin

@aceckhouse @tim_mulshine They did this at Balboa Park BART as well. @SFBART Maybe you should fight against this. It makes your system less safe and less convenient. Maybe a CEQA challenge of some sort.

@jeffreytumlin Last several times I've tried to take the T back from Chinatown I've run into waits like this. Its quicker to go back up top and take the 8/30. Please add an arrival board at the bus stop up top. Why bother with a $1.8 Billion subway with service levels like this?

@HaydenM16 It also doesn't help that the bus service they're running (at least for the K) is so unpredictable. Maybe it will come, maybe it won't.

wow it’s almost like forcing people to transfer at west portal and only running shuttle trains doesn’t solve all of Muni’s problems, let’s keep this in mind when they try to push the LK or some other forces transfers in the future

If you're eating nachos slathered in cheese and chicken and salsa and in the middle you come across one with nothing on it, is that actually a nacho or just a tortilla chip? Introducing my 4 y.o. to nachos tonight and ran into this dilemma.

@DeanPreston The largest penalty for using transit is time, not money. At this point its far more important for Muni to fund faster more frequent service than it is to fund free service.

@DeanPreston She'll have to pay the fine because she didn't pay the fare, not because she was riding public transit. Your tweets are always so dishonest. Fares fund the system and we need more investment in Muni, not less.

@HaydenM16 I think the S Shuttle turn arounds cause trains to wait longer outside the tunnel.

Muni Metro is really on the decline lately, last 3 times entering west portal my train has sat outside the station for 5+ min. This time there’s 3 other trains backed up in front of us waiting to get it. IDK what the issue is but it needs to be fixed
