If Mr Poilievre wants to be prime minister he will have to show he's prepared to work with the Liberals, not just on his own terms.

@TristinHopper I actually think this may have the reverse effect. The flood gates will open back up, the foreign buyers will be flooding back into the real estate market. The boomers will be drooling as property values go back up and everyone else suffers while the boomer seals clap elbows up

@RickAnderson Rick, why do you think people are negative about Canada? Ask yourself why this problem exists. After 11 years of liberals these feelings are more prevalent than ever. Do you see the pattern here? Basically every metric across the board has gotten worse.

I am truly fatigued by this negative line of dreck about Canada. Yes, we have challenges, more at the moment than usual. But this is a tremendous country, and yes we have a Canadian Dream, the belief that people can come together to build better lives, and in doing so build a better country: fair, decent, and diverse.

I don't accept the criticism coming from hard partisans of Mark Carney. I repeat: the United States has threatened to invade Canada multiple times over the last year. And they are currently waging an economic war against Canadians that is costing us jobs. Canada is currently in the middle of the worst crisis facing the worst threats we ever have since World War 2. If this isn't a time to put aside our differences and start working together with our political enemies for the best interests of Canada, my God, you need your head examined. Wake up.

Well Canada. This is it. Now is your chance to prove that a Liberal government can create some sort of prosperity. It’s never happened before, and if they can’t do it with a majority now - hopefully you’ll finally know that’s it’s not possible. My worry though is that they will now flood the country with immigrants and censor dissidents with their 1984 bills. They’ll exponentially grow the size of government and you’ll never be able to vote yourself out of this mess again. I hope I’m wrong. But this feels very very scary.

In this pivotal period of Canadian history, Canada needs a MAJORITY government. According to all major opinion polls, the LIBERALS are guaranteed a majority if elections were held today. We have the chance to do this during the upcoming by-elections, otherwise it will be through more expensive general elections!! Voters in Scarborough Southwest, University-Rosedale and Terrebonne… please vote smartly!
